LF-wines is a wine guide-encyclopedia, which contains the most complete descriptions of wines with the most complete technical information. It is convenient to use it to study the winemaking of countries and regions.
Some of the descriptions are supplemented by tasting notes and Wines & Places (WP) ratings. For rated wines, the rating is indicated on their photo, they are also collected in a separate section.
The site helps to organize wine trips, choose directions: which wine-producing countries to visit, what to see, which wineries to visit, where else to go, what interesting places are worth seeing on your own or on an excursion. The wine regions section provides a handy structure to help you navigate the geography and appellations, as well as a list of the best wine producers.
The site consists of linked guides that allow you to explore the wine topic from different focuses. All wines are marked by region, varietal composition, producer, category or appellation, etc., and the characteristics serve as references. By clicking on the links directly from the descriptions, you can get acquainted with related wines.
An important role is played by the filter-selector *, which is most convenient to use inside the section of interest. In addition to being used for its intended purpose, for selection, it is the main source of reference information. Expanding it, you will see a list of entities associated with the section: for example, for a country - what appellations it has, for an appellation - what grape varieties are used in it and what styles of wines. And also vice versa: in the section of one or another grape variety in the filter, you can see where it is grown, etc. Everything is connected to everything. Therefore, the advice is to work with the site as a reference book, go as deep as possible into the sections and use the filter.
The last added wines are displayed on the main page of the catalog.
Good luck in finding good wines!--
